    Paris Database Summary

    (Revised: February, 4, 2000)

  • BURGERS (FORTRAN)
    Solve the periodic 1D - Burgers equation by approximating the solution by wavelet packet bases.

  • EXTRA2 (C)
    Extension of a function of 2 variables outside a prescribed domain using multiscale decomposition.

  • LAPLSHAP (FORTRAN)
    Solve the Laplacian equation on the L-shaped domain using a Q_1 discretization on a uniform dyadic grid.

  • LAPADAP (FORTRAN)
    Solve the Laplacian equation with homogeneous boundary conditions on the square [0,1]^2 by an adaptive wavelet algorithm.

  • MULTI1D (C++)
    Computes the finite volume solution of one dimensional system of equations within a multiresolution analysis framework. Three cases are implemented: the scalar linear transport, Burgers equation, and the Euler system.

  • MULTI2D (C++)
    Computes the finite volume solution of a two dimensional scalar equation within a multiresolution analysis framework. Two cases are implemented: the scalar linear transport, and Burgers equation.

  • NOISE (C)
    Noise removal (Image folder).

  • THRESHOLD (C)
    Image compression (Image folder).

  • FILTERS
    Contains the filters coefficients, a plot of scaling and wavelet functions and a short information about their properties.
      Available Wavelet Filters:
    • Orthogonal Coiflets filters,
    • Orthogonal Daubechies filters,
    • Biorthogonal Spline filters,
    • Biorthogonal Interpolation filters.
