RESEARCH


My research interests are nonlinear PDEs, with three main applications:


Photonics in ionized plasmas:

  • Existence and uniqueness of solutions to the equation of radiative transfer coupled with hydrodynamics
  • Diffusion limit for radiative transfer equation and boundary layer problems

The modelling of solids:

  • Thermodynamic limit (in a periodic or non periodic setting, and in a deterministic or stochastic setting)
  • Discrete to continuum  problems (link between atomistic models and nonlinear elasticity)
  • "orbital free" type models in solids (for electronic structure calculations)
  • Models coupling discrete and continuum models

Bose-Einstein condensates, with in particular superfluidity

  • Flow of a condensate around an obstacle
  • Fast rotating condensates: nucleation of vortices and Abrikosov lattices.
